Announcements
• Wednesday is Unity Day - wear orange.
• Information about e-learning days was sent home on Wednesday. Please keep the information in a safe location.
• During our SEL (Social Emotional Learning) lessons this week, students will be given a screener
called the SAEBRS (Social, Academic, Emotional Behavior Risk Screener). During this activity
students will use a rating scale to identify how they feel that they are regulating emotions and/or
behaviors at school. In addition to the responses given by your child, the teacher will also indicate
their observations of each student on their ability to regulate emotions and behaviors at school.
This tool only acts as a screener, it is not diagnostic or definitive.
Language Arts
• This week our targeted skills are context clues, determining importance, and cause/effect.
• Our phonics skill is "ai" and "ay".
• We will be working on writing sentences with details.
Math
• We are starting a new unit on measurement.
Science
• We will be learning about the engineering process.
Character Education
• We will be reading a book and discussing being respectful.
