• Please continue to send coats for the weather outside. We normally take a walk outside around 9:00am when it is still chilly outside (20 - 40 degrees).
Language Arts
• This week we will start a new unit with stories focused on flight. Our skills for the week include using fix-it and monitoring strategies, author's purpose, adjectives/adverbs, and text features.
• The spelling words for the week are: railroad, moonlight, cowboy, bathroom, toothbrush, birthday, doorknob, seashell, snowball, starfish.
• Students should be reading at home for 30 minutes nightly.
Math
• We are starting a new unit in math which focuses on telling time.
• Remember to practice addition and subtraction facts at home.
Science
• We will revisit the weather topic, and focus on severe weather.
