Announcements
• Report cards will be mailed out on Monday. Included with your report card are notifications of late library books. You can drop those off at school at your earliest convenience (no rush).
• Students are able to check out books from the library. I attached their yellow password card to a packet of bingo cards in the latest supply pickup. Here is a video showing you how. Video - How to check out library books
• Wednesday dress up day is "Holiday Headwear." Wear Santa hat, antlers, elf hat, or other holiday hat/headband.
Language Arts
• Students will learn about determining importance in a text, main topic, compound words, chronological order, and text/graphic features.
• We will work on writing opinion pieces.
• Our phonics/spelling will focus on the "ar" sound. Our words are car, yard, star, march, smart, hard, farm, large, shark, and garden.
Math
• We will continue to learn about measurement and shapes this week.
Social Studies
• We will learn about traditions, cultures, and celebrations around the world.
