Distance Learning
Hi Families,
Your child/children have done a great job adapting to the new way of school this year. I have confidence that they will also do a great job at distance learning this fall! We have been practicing different scenarios with the ipads so they should be prepared. The last few days our staff have been working hard to get a bag of materials ready for your child so they can be successful during distance learning.
Things will look a little different now than they did last spring. I will provide instruction live on Zoom most of the day. I tried to keep our schedule as close to our regular day as possible. Students are expected to start their day at 7:40am and end at 2:10pm. One change I made to their schedule was to put their lunch and recess times together (they have been separate this year). I hope that will give you a more flexible time for lunch. Lunch and recess will be from 12:30 - 1:25.
Also different this year is my availability to take phone calls and answer emails, as I will be teaching live. I will have office hours Monday - Thursday from 7:15am - 7:45am and 2:15pm to 3:00pm if you need assistance. I am also attaching a technical problem link if you have a tech issue. This the link to the Tech form . I am enclosing some Zoom expectations and our daily schedule in this email. They will also be in the supply bag you receive.
