Announcements
• I think our first week of distance learning went well. We were able to work out some glitches already and got into a good routine. The students should start their day at 7:40am with morning work and reading. They will log onto Zoom at 8:00am. We are following our regular school day schedule. We finish at approximately 2:10pm. Your child will need to be logged in with our class during the day to be considered present for attendance.
• Our specialist this week is art.
• Please read the guidelines for families during distance learning.
Language Arts
• This week we will focus on visualizing, retelling, using context clues, describing how characters respond to change, and fiction story elements.
• For writing, the class will work on a fictional narrative story about how a turkey got away at Thanksgiving.
• Continue to read each night for 15 minutes or more.
Math
• We are finishing Unit 2 with some review about coins and addition.
• Keep practicing your addition facts.
Social Studies
• We will learn about the Pilrgrims, Wampanoag, and Thanksgiving.
