• Storm Leaders from SRR High School will be joining us this week during recess.
• We will be having a special day this week because our class won the Gold Lunchroom Tray for following the PATH and met our classroom goal of working quietly in the afternoon. I will send more information after the class votes for their reward.
Language Arts
• We are starting a new unit on government. The skills we will focus on for the week are: determining importance, author's purpose, context clues, and cause/effect.
• The spelling words for this week are: music, menu, January, few, rescue, cue, use, cute, huge, and cube.
• Please send back the reading log on Monday.
• We are working on writing personal narrative paragraphs.
Math
• This week students will learn double digit addition with regrouping.
• We will also have the last addition facts time test before the end of the trimester.
Science
• We started to learn about the engineering process and will also learn about properties of matter.
