• The Scholastic Book Fair is back! While the Fair will be exclusively held online this year, we still plan on making it a fun and joyous experience for our kids.
The Online Fair will include features like: MHES’s own online store, games for kids, virtual store walk-throughs and more.
Remember, every dollar you spend will benefit our school directly (25% back in rewards!).

• Conferences this week are on Thursday. My plan is to send home student data folders the afternoon of the conference. I will put a summary sheet in the front of the folder (please sign it). Our conferences are only 15 minutes and back-to-back so we will focus our conversation on that summary sheet. Please send back the data folder on Thursday. We use them every day. Thanks!

Language Arts
• This week we will focus on asking questions, central idea (main topic), and elements of a personal narrative. Students will also be writing their first personal narrative this week.
• Continue to read each night for 15 minutes or more.
Math
• We are starting Unit 2. The focus of this unit is place value.
• Continue to practice math facts.
Science
• We will continue our discussions on matter.
Character Education
